LINDSAY DERINGER DOLAN, LCSW
For many parents, deciding that your child or teen needs help can be a difficult, emotional realization. Finding the courage and strength to seek therapy is a giant step in getting the support your family deserves.
I began in this field over 10 years ago because of my belief in the strength and potential of others, even in the most difficult situations. My passion and dedication to supporting others has never wavered. I’ve learned that when a child or teen’s needs are supported by education, skill-building, compassion, and understanding, the possibilities for recovery and success are endless. I take great pride in what I have seen children and families accomplish, through their dedication and perseverance.
Therapy is a team effort and, by working together and building on your family’s strengths, your child can get the support he or she needs. I am dedicated to using my education, training, experience, and skills to help each family reach a positive outcome.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
While born in Kentucky, I grew up in Central Pennsylvania. I left the area to get my degree in social work from the University of Kentucky, then returned years later to earn my Master’s degree at Temple University. I am married and blessed to be the mother of two (or three, if you count my fur-baby, Boomer!). In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching college basketball (Go Cats!), cooking, reading, being outside, and listening to music. I have always been passionate about helping others. Being a therapist is one of the highlights of my life.
