“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” ~Plato.
Through play therapy, I work with children and families to build trust and mastery, foster learning and encourage acceptable behaviors, regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, promote creative thinking and problem-solving, encourage open communication, and elevate spirit and self-esteem.
I have a passion for helping children and families work through difficult experiences and find new ways to tackle life’s challenges. I use a variety of therapy models and can adapt my style to meet your needs and support your family. Together we can identify your child’s and family’s strengths, then build upon those strengths to meet your goals. Therapy can be very rewarding, but it can also be challenging! By keeping strong lines of communication and developing a safe, comfortable relationship, we can take on those challenges together.
