WHAT TO EXPECT

Sometimes it’s hard to feel negative emotions and allow ourselves the time and space to deal with them. It can be tempting to just keep pushing forward, staying busy to avoid our needs and feelings. I am here to provide you a space to slow down and come to a deeper understanding of yourself, your feelings, and your needs.

When life feels unfair and unmanageable, I welcome the opportunity to help you grow through what you go through. I take an honest, straightforward approach to understanding life’s challenges, whatever those might be. I am here to listen and to help you find ways to cope and even to thrive.

Before joining Campbell Psychological, I worked in Family-Based Mental Health Services, providing intensive in-home therapy to families of all different ethnicities and backgrounds. I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centered approach. This means I consider how what happened to you impacts you; I emphasize the strengths you already have; and I provide compassion and support for your experience.

I am a strong believer that we can’t always control what happens to us, but we can choose what we make of it. Of course, the past is important and impacts our lives today, but change and growth are always possible.
