School-Based Therapist – Newville, PA
Position Description
- School-based position involves at least 3 days/week in Big Spring School District, providing therapy in two elementary schools.
- Daytime hours with no on-call responsibilities. Work 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Provide assessment, treatment planning, and therapy to children in grades K-5.
- Actively collaborate with school staff, parents, caseworkers, and other relevant systems.
- This school-based position begins September 2023.

- This is a fee-for-service position. Average reimbursement for part-time, school-based therapy is $44 per 45-minute session for licensed therapist and $40 for unlicensed and LSWs. Based on seeing 15 clients/week, estimated monthly income is $2400-$2600 (depending on licensure status). Opportunity to increase pay with higher caseload.

What We Are Looking For
- A therapist licensed to practice independently in Pennsylvania (i.e., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychologist). Therapists working toward clinical licensure are welcome to apply but must have completed at least 1500 supervised hours toward licensure.
- At least three years of experience providing therapy to children and families; two years must be post-Masters degree.
- Skill treating trauma and utilizing evidence-based and theoretically-sound interventions.
- Someone who enjoys working with clients from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
- An organized, conscientious self-starter with great “people-skills.”
- Must meet state requirements for background check and clearances and current vaccination against COVID19.
